Penola’s longest standing fine dining restaurant housed in a former Presbyterian church offers French-inspired menu and a wine list that includes local and international wines. We love their cheese selection. Over the years, Pipers has won many awards for both service and food.
The menu features some of chef Simon Bowen’s own smoked produce.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 6 pm
Its vineyard setting shows off this restaurant with gorgeous views at sunset. The menu includes local produce such as local lamb, walnuts and herbs, and their own orchard fruit, and is matched to Hollick wines.

Open Saturday nights only for dinner, and lunch from Wednesday to Sunday
Fodder is one of our favourite lunch options in the Coonawarra, with a wood-fired pizza oven and a wonderful menu full of their own garden produce. Try the Gnocchi with burnt sage butter, or one of their gourmet pizzas – no pineapple here!
